Local's success is shared at the SSHED

The SSHED Business Accelerator is holding a free information evening for small businesses with a special presentation from John Petty , a local resident who is the National Vice President of CPA Australia and Australia 's representative on the world accounting body, the International Federation of Accountants Financial Management Committee.

John Petty is the author of several business management books and is a lecturer in small business management at the University of Technology, Sydney, and is currently leading an international research project on growth strategies for business. He has four times won the world accredited 'Best Research Prize' for research into best practices in business management, with particular focus on successful small business.

'Around 90% of businesses in the Shire are organisations that employ 5 or less people,' said the Mayor of Sutherland Shire Councillor Kevin Schreiber.

'John Petty has an outstanding career as a successful local business operator who started his company from small beginnings and I know our entrepreneurs can benefit greatly from his experiences.

'I invite local business people to come to this free seminar. It is a great chance to network and a good opportunity to gain valuable knowledge on how to successfully grow your small business.'

The free information evening will be held on Wednesday 3 November 2004 at the SSHED which is located at 25/1 Pitt Street Loftus. The evening will commence at 6.30pm and will conclude by 8pm.
