First Master of Management degree on offer in The Shire
Posted on Tuesday, June 2005
Dean of the Faculty of Commerce at the University of Wollongong, Professor John Glynn said the new degree would offer local professionals the opportunity to develop their business and management skills within the southern Sydney area.
'A series of study units will be offered which are designed to provide managers with the opportunity to enhance their career opportunities and improve management and business performance by developing key professional, personal and technical skills,' Professor Glynn said.
And he stressed that those not wanting to undertake the full Masters Program could undertake individual units for professional development purposes.
Initial units will be drawn from areas such as managing people, marketing, information systems, leading organisational change, innovation and entrepreneurship, supply chain management, accounting and statistics.
The Master of Management program comprises eight subjects which can be completed on a part-time basis over two years.
