  With International Women’s Day being celebrated this month, its timely to recognize that women own and run about a third of all small businesses in Australia. Almost half the businesses now in the SSHED are also owned or co-owned by women.

  Connecting local employers with young workers

  Council’s business accelerator, the SSHED has been home to The Shire Group Training for the last two years. In this time the business has placed over 130 young people into local apprentice and trainee jobs.
