    From $20/hr

    Office rents start from $20 per hour for a hot office, $180 per week for a shared office and $269 per week for your own office 24/7. Offices come complete with a computer, phone system, furniture, email and web hosting, conference room, car parking and much more.

    The SSHED weekly rent covers the cost of office accommodation; computer and IT support, and is very competitive with the cost of commercial office rents in southern Sydney.

    Craig Doyle, SSHED Manager

    Craig has a background in information, computing and technology and has held senior management positions with such companies as Apple Computer and Telstra. Craig has also run his own IT consulting business and headed up dotcom start-ups in Australia and the USA. Craig was appointed SSHED Manager in December 2003.

    Craig's role is to work with each tenant in setting their overall strategic direction, identifying KPI's and action plans, as well as day-to-day operational issues.

    Elizabeth (Liz) Lette, SSHED Marketing Manager

    Liz has more than twenty years marketing experience. She has held senior national marketing roles with Vodafone and Apple Computer. She has a broad range of marketing skills including brand development, direct marketing, print production, promotions and online marketing.

    Liz has also run her own marketing business consulting, catering for small-medium sized businesses.

    At the SSHED, Liz assists tenants with their marketing program. Liz has loads of energy and enthusiasm and is keen to get involved in your business.

    Anne Flisher, Program Manager

    Anne is a Pommie with over 13 years experience in Shopping Centre Retail Marketing industry and over 5 years experience in Facilities Management. Anne joined the SSHED in October 2006, after a 12 month stint as Manager at Cronulla Plaza.

    Anne's role involves the implementation of the strategic/operational plan for the SSHEDProgram 'SSHEDnet', which uses the SSHED as a model for incubators in other areas. She also provides business support and advice to participants of all SSHED programs along with the implementation of evolving SSHED business development programs.

    She loves working at the SSHED and will help you out in any way she can - you just have to ask!

    Marie Tass, Office Manager

    Marie shares the role of SSHED Office Manager with Mary Spedding and works on Mondays and Tuesdays. Her responsibilities include the day to day running of the centre, business development and tenant support.

    Marie has held a variety of roles including personal assistant and receptionist with high level skills in customer service and office administration. She loves a challenge and revels in the fast pace and variety of working at the SSHED.

    Mary Spedding, Office Manager

    Mary shares the SSHED Office Manager role with Marie Tass and works on Wednesday, Thursday & Fridays. Mary has over 20 years experience in all aspects of administration and customer service working with various companies from Insurance, Human Resources, Retail and University students. Mary joined the SSHED initially as the SSHED / UOW Southern Sydney's Receptionist in 2009.

    Mary enjoys helping the businesses in the SSHED with a variety of requests as well as ensuring the smooth day to day running of the centre, business development and tenant support.

  • Who's Behind the SSHED?

    The SSHED (which stands for Sutherland Shire Hub for Economic Development) is a not-for-profit business accelerator established by Sutherland Shire Council. The SSHED is part of a $5M training, education and business development precinct opened in November 2003.

    In a strong, three-way partnership, Sutherland Shire Council, TAFE NSW and the University of Wollongong (UOW) worked together to provide the first university presence in southern Sydney and a world-class business accelerator for small and medium-sized enterprises in new premises located on the Loftus TAFE campus.

    The building is occupied jointly by the UOW Southern Sydney and the SSHED.

    The SSHED is a business initiative of Sutherland Shire Council with funding assistance from the Commonwealth Government's Small Business Incubation Program, NSW state government, The University of Wollongong and the Southern Sydney Institute of TAFE.

    The SSHED is part of council's strategy to stimulate economic growth and create jobs, by attracting new enterprises to the Shire and helping existing businesses succeed.
